Polka Dots and Batman!

It's not a title you'd think would necessarily go together, but yes, polka dots and Batman did indeed happen on my latest trip to Nottingham to see the lovely Charlotte. I have talked at length on my blog about how much I love both Nottingham and Charlotte, and in the past I've only headed down for the day. This time, however, I stayed for two days and it was a glorious time.

I love exploring a different part of Nottingham whenever I go back, and this time was no exception because WE WENT TO BATMAN'S HOUSE! This will mean nothing to you if you're not into graphic novels or the Batman franchise headed by Christopher Nolan, but this house is the very one used in Batman Begins. I literally couldn't stop grinning as we walked up the pathway and took many pictures from each and every angle. It's such a breathtaking building; irrespective as to whether or not you like the Batman movies, you can't deny the architecture is simply stunning. I'll only post a couple of pictures of it from two of my favourite angles, but I seriously encourage you to go for a visit when you can and marvel at its beauty.
We walked around the grounds and wandered into the lovely gardens, where I just had to take some outfit pics. I wore my Collectif black and white polka dot dress, with my favourite satchel, and stood in front of the most fitting autumnal setting:

Cardigan: H&M

Satchel: Urban Outfitters^
Tights: Boots

It  was such an awesome time with Charlotte, and keep a lookout for a new outfit post where I'll have my second outfit from my Nottingham visit.

'til next time!

Love and hugs,
Isha xxxx

To BB or not to BB (Part. 1)

Success

In the blogger world, success is often in reference to money or exposure. Often these two things go hand-in-hand, in that the more exposure you get the more you are in a position to ask to be paid for your work/ name/ face, etc. Blogging has become a business for many and an aspiration to even more, but are we being realistic?

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great to have ambition and to work and strive for a goal or goals, but I also think it's important to be realistic with those goals. There are so many factors that come into trying to make a blog a business. For example, bloggers whom have been able to make their blog their sole source of income are often white, slim/ slim passing, a small fat, able-bodied, cis gendered, and/ or with euro-centric beauty. There are of course other examples that correlate, but that's the starting point. Not every blogger is going to fall into that blueprint, nor should we, but unfortunately we have not yet reached a point where said…
