Pulp Fiction Switch-Up

I have a thing for white dresses, but being total klutz makes me fearful to wear it. I have four white dresses and this is the latest via a sale steal from ASOS:

Dress: ASOS^
Cardigan: South (via Very)
Leggings: South (via Very)
Peep-toe Sandals: Primark^
I wore this to the Pulp Fiction Geek-Out, at The Prince Charles Cinema (i.e my second home) and everyone was encouraged to dress up for the screening. It would have been classic of course to go with a black suit and crisp white shirt, but as you know, I'm not a fan of black as the main colour of an outfit, so I decided to switch it up with a white dress and black accessories. I love the sheer panel along the bottom as it adds a lovely detail to an otherwise plain dress, and black and white is a great combo to dress up or down. White is also another "fat girls shouldn't wear..." item, but as you can see, I didn't have a care in the world:
The night was so fun as it always is at The PCC, and dancing in our seats to the soundtrack while drinking Pimms was nothing short of a perfect night in homage to a cult-classic film.

'til next time!

Blue and White Stripe Delight

There is an awful lot of tosh us plus size ladies have to put up with, but one of my greatest banes is the list of things we're constantly told we shouldn't wear. I will never understand others need to try and police how we dress our bodies, so I was more than happy to put together an outfit that checks off so many from the "do not wear..." list:

Dress: ASOS (Limited sizes available)
Cardigan: H&M (Grey currently not available online, but should be in store)
Sandals: Dorothy Perkins^
Bag: Gifted
Sunglasses: Spitalfields Market

Horizontal stripes? Check

Exposing the belly? Check
Light colours? Check
Happy and confident? Check!!!!

I love this outfit and it was inspired by Girl with Curves who recently blogged in this dress herself. I fell in love with the colours and the cut-out along the belly, and screams of an outfit for jumping in a rowing boat with a big hat and a glass of something fizzy. Although I didn't have the boat, hat or bubbly, I did have a lovely afternoon with my friend, Hanna. The sun was out and there was a complimentary breeze that assisted in making the dress of dreams look even more dreamy.

The bag was a gift from Dani and I just had to finish the outfit off with this red bowed wonder. I felt so happy in this outfit and after lunch with Hanna, I headed to central London for dinner with my dear friend, Jags. I always post pictures of my meals on Instagram and I just had to share my dinner, which was absolutely delicious:

A glorious outfit and a day spent with great friends - not a bad day I'd say. :)

'til next time!
