You
know the song 'Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend'?, well I've never plugged into
that notion. I love a different kind of shimmer - sequins. Whether it's a
skirt, top or dress, nothing says glamour like a little sequin number. I bought
this amazing pencil skirt last year during the festive season and literally couldn't
wait to put it on and create this fun, sexy and sophisticated look with it:

This
is one of my favourite recent looks and I'm finding myself more in love with
showing off my silhouette. The skirt has a thin underlay so the sequins don't
rub against your skin (there is nothing worse!), and the elastic waist means
you can wear it as high or as low as you want. Mixing fabrics and textures can
be tricky, but I think the outfit works really well; the subtle 3D spiral
pattern of the jumper ensures the skirt is the standout piece, dripping with
glitz and glamour. The sandals are a nice touch with the blush pink and shows
you don't have to wear sky-high stilettos to look or feel sexy. I rarely wear
heels so was pleased to find flats that worked without resorting to standard
black.
I
found the headpiece while standing in the queue, and best of all, it was on
sale! A total bargain and perfect to complete the 40's look I was going for. I
have really fallen for the 40's look of late. Fitted,
unapologetic
wiggle dresses and skirts that show every lump and bump, and although I'll
always be a 50's bunny in circle skirt mania, the fact that I'm loving my
body more and more each day has resulted in me not giving two hoots what anyone
else has to say about how I look. As long as I feel amazing that's
literally all that matters.
'til
next time!
Love
and hugs,
