I started my Halloween search a little early this year because I knew I wanted an actual
costume rather than bits and pieces put together. There is always so much
stigma attached to Halloween costumes and what women should and shouldn't wear,
but as you know by now, I wear what I darn well please, so I wanted something
fun with a little something to let the minx in me out. Looking for plus size
Halloween costumes to fit that criteria was difficult a few years ago, but now
there is a healthy (although it could certainly be better) collection of
costumes for us plus ladies to indulge in and I couldn't be happier with the
gem that I found:

Incredible illustration <3
Anyone
who is anyone knows the tale of Alice in Wonderland, but a dark Alice?! Well, I
snapped this up in no time at all. I absolutely love the dress, and although it
looks a little French Maid, the apron stole my heart. The illustration is just
perfect and it took me back to the numerous times of reading the story and
getting lost in the wonderful and mystical world. I was also surprised with the
generous accessories that came with the dress; the aforementioned apron, the
gloves and a pair of knee high socks that I chose to omit as they were white
and it didn't bring the outfit together the way I'd have liked; having said that, they
have so much stretch and fit incredibly well, and that's coming from someone
with calves the size of a small country! The only additional thing I had to buy
was the wig which I also got from Angels. I wanted a wig that was a stark
contrast to how I'd normally look which is why I stayed away from dark coloured
wigs - not dramatic enough! This wig is a mix of blonde, silver and grey, and
went perfectly with my costume I could hardly believe it. Just like my calves,
my head is also huge, but again, the fit was perfect. I had so much fun in this
outfit!
My
Halloween was split into two parts. Part one was spent with my lovely friend,
Jagi, and we went to a very snazzy restaurant called Criterion. The food was
amazing and we got a great deal of three courses with champagne, via Book a
Table.

So much yum!
I'm
not sure my dress was very appropriate for our swanky surroundings but I was
celebrating Halloween for the entire day so nothing was going to stop me! It
was then time for me to make a quick costume change into Dark Alice and headed
to a friends house where a bunch of us watched old Halloween movies way into
the night.
I
was actually really good because I had to get up early to jump on a train to
Nottingham, so there was no crazy drinking for me, but it was a brilliant
evening and my two costumes definitely put me into the party mood.
Can't
wait to see what you guys wore and got up to!
'til
next time.
Love
and hugs,
Isha
