Curve Social!!!

Well I’ve been thinking about this new fabulous blogger world I’ve found myself in, and as much as I love talking to all the lovely ladies via Twitter and via our respective blogs, I wanted more of an opportunity to actually meet people!

I love meeting new people and hearing about others lives and interests, so wanted to do something about it. I know there are a few plus size events throughout the year, but I’d really like something more frequent; and when I get an idea in mind- there’s nothing stopping me (even if said idea crashes and burns :/). I hope you all think it’s a good idea too and would like to come and either meet some new people, or catch up with old friends.

So, myself and Lauren set up a Facebook group, so please have a look. As you all know, joining a group means you get all updates as and when they happen; it’d be particularly good if you don’t live in London because photos and such will all be posted there to keep you all in the know.

The first event will be posted very soon (in the next couple days), so keep an eye out.

We're really excited! :)

Success

In the blogger world, success is often in reference to money or exposure. Often these two things go hand-in-hand, in that the more exposure you get the more you are in a position to ask to be paid for your work/ name/ face, etc. Blogging has become a business for many and an aspiration to even more, but are we being realistic?

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great to have ambition and to work and strive for a goal or goals, but I also think it's important to be realistic with those goals. There are so many factors that come into trying to make a blog a business. For example, bloggers whom have been able to make their blog their sole source of income are often white, slim/ slim passing, a small fat, able-bodied, cis gendered, and/ or with euro-centric beauty. There are of course other examples that correlate, but that's the starting point. Not every blogger is going to fall into that blueprint, nor should we, but unfortunately we have not yet reached a point where said…
